Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Jayapura, Papua.
Established on January 17, 2015, we focus on Human Resource Development and Research in Papua.
The Background
“SAGU” is an acronym for “Strengthening, Assisting, Generating, Utilizing”.
Sagu (sago, Metroxylon sp.) is the staple food of the Papuan people and holds deep cultural significance in Papuan society. Sago symbolizes the “mama”, the one who gives birth to and nurtures the children of Papua.
